Next week we will start having (mostly) weekly kayaking get togethers at Upper Mystic Lake. This is a great opportunity to get some practice paddling a whitewater boat, learn how to roll, or learn some cool tricks. Instructors from the whitewater program will be there and are happy to give tips and teach, but this isn't a formal instruction session. We will plan to arrive at the pond ~6pm and leave once it gets dark, and we will usually try to grab some food afterwards (taco Tuesdays!) or grill at the pond.

Everyone is welcome to come, but we have limited capacity to transport people and boats. If you have your own car and gear, just show up and we will be happy to have you. If you have your own car but need gear, you should plan to meet either myself or Adam at the boathouse the night before to get a kayak. For driving around the city it is possible to strap a boat to your car even without roof racks.

Adam and I (and maybe others) will be leaving at 5:30 pm from the Harvard/Porter square area and will be able to bring a limited number of people (~6) and boats with us. I will post a trip to the MITOC trips webpage with the number of available seats in our vehicles, and if you would like a ride with us please sign up for a spot (first come, first serve).
