The first annual MITOC trail 50k will be taking place Saturday, May 11th!

Please read the following IN FULL prior to signing up.

The participant lottery will run on April 1st.

Itinerary: We will be staying at Camelot Friday night, and the run will start at 7am Saturday morning at the Lincoln Woods trailhead outside of Lincoln, New Hampshire. After completing the course on Saturday evening, we will return to Camelot to revel in our exhaustion.

Course: The course will consist of the typical Pemigewasset Loop, run clockwise. The start and finish will be at the Lincoln Woods trailhead. From the Lincoln Woods trail the course will ascend Mt. Flume, followed by Mt. Liberty and a traverse of Franconia Ridge and Mt. Lafayette. From there, the course will descend Franconia Ridge and ascend Mt. Garfield. After Mt. Garfield, at the Galehead Hut will be the primary aid checkpoint. Participants will have the option to pre-arrange a small bag to pick up at the Galehead aid station, as well as the ability to refill water. From the Galehead hut, the course will ascend to South Twin and then continue on to Mt. Bond, the Bondcliffs, and a final descent back to the Lincoln Woods trail. From there, the course is relatively flat until the finish back at the Lincoln Woods trailhead.

The course will likely have snowy portions, so be prepared for difficult trail conditions. We will have more detailed trail reports the week before the run.

The total distance will be slightly less than 50 kilometers, with about 8800 feet (2300 meters) of elevation gain.
