Led by female-identifying folk aimed at female-identifying folk, this trip will take us to the south side of the Pemigewasset Wilderness where we will be climbing North Hancock (8.6 miles, ~2500 feet of elevation). If time permits, we may also attempt to summit South Hancock (an additional ~2 miles). We will be bringing both snowshoes and microspikes.

The objective of this trip is to encourage and support female-identifying folk in MITOC and in the outdoors. Expect experience-sharing, inclusivity and fun times on the trail, and time to chat over group dinner afterward.

We will be starting the hike around 8 am so expect an early start to drive from Boston to the trailhead.

PLEASE NOTE: We welcome all genders and sexes on this hike, but the two main objectives of this hike are to facilitate discussions about gender in the outdoor community, and to create a supportive and safe space for MITOC women. If you’re not interested in such conversations, we would love it if you can save the spot for someone who is.
