Prerequisites
Previous MITOC Winter School trips at or above 8 miles, previous experience with crampons on a Winter School Trip

We'll be hiking Mt Madison in the Northern Presis via the Valley Way trail. The route will be about 4 miles up and 4 miles down the same trail, for a total of 8 miles and +4080' of elevation gain.

This hike will be long, steep, and strenuous so a high level of physical fitness will be important for success on this trip. We also expect cold temps and moderate to high winds, so we will be practicing efficient movement through alpine terrain.

Above all, this trip should be an absolute blast! Mad good times...
