4.5 miles, ~1800ft elevation gain.

A great Winter School classic, the Welch-Dickey hike is certainly no stroll in the park, but is beginner-friendly and has something for everyone. A bit of a scramble (just enough to be fun), a few exposed sections, a chance to look super cool in crampons, and great views! And you get two peaks for the price of one.

And depending on the ice conditions, we might bring ice axes and practice self-arrest. Double the cool points!

The plan is for two cars to leave Boston early Saturday morning; at least one car (Michael's) will return to Boston that evening.
