We will be hosting a Technical Review Session (TRS) to learn how to clean sport anchors.

When and Where?

19:00 in the MITOC Office W20-461

Who can Join?

Any current MITOC member may sign up. If we are limited on space we will prioritize MRP participants first.

What is the cost?

What will we learn?

We will go over how to clean a variety of types of typical top-rope anchors found throughout New England. The basic techniques taught will not require rappelling. Anchors covered are . . .

  • Two bolts with chains only
  • Two bolts with rappel rings
  • Two bolts with quick clips
  • Two bolts with rams horns

What should I bring?

If you have the following gear it would be helpful, but is not required.

  • Harness
  • Belay Device
  • Double-Length Sling
  • 3 Lockers
  • 1 Quick Draw
