Prerequisites
You must be part of the Fall 2018 MITOC Rock Program

The first weekend of the MITOC Rock Program! Come to the White Mountains to learn new skills and meet other climbers.

Time

September 14(evening) -16

Plan to arrive at the cabin no later than 10pm on Friday to participate in trip planning.

Location

MITOC's Camelot cabin and the nearby crags (Rumney, Franconia Notch, etc.) The cabin has electricity, but no running water, and most participants will be sleeping on the floor or camping.

Climbing:

The cabin is about 15 minutes from sport climbing at Rumney and less than an hour from trad (and sport) climbing in Franconia Notch.

We will be forming groups each evening for the next day. Specifics will depend on the individuals involved.

Food:

We will provide dinner on Saturday night and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. Lunches and other dinners are not provided. Chris Blatchley has graciously offered to cook tacos for dinner on Saturday night, but he will need help. Please contact him (email below) to coordinate. Everyone will have to either help cook or clean up.

Gear

You should bring:

  • Personal climbing gear (helmet, harness, shoes, etc.)

  • (Optional) shared climbing gear (rope, rack, etc.)

  • Overnight/camping gear

  • Appropriate clothing and footwear

  • Food and water

Logistics

Sign up on this trip page to join. This is only for people who have applied and been accepted to the program already.

A rideshare spreadsheet will be sent out after signups close to help with carpooling. We will use the car information in your profile to make sure that there will be enough rides, so please make sure that's accurate.
