Why Keyholder Training?
Only Keyholders are allowed to rent the cabin itself for their group. This training certifies you as a Keyholder for Intervale and lasts for two years.
General Info
We will be holding our first keyholder training event of the year. In order to become a keyholder you must be a current MITOC member and have a waiver signed.
Prior to leaving for the trip it is required that every participant read the page and all links found from mitoc.mit.edu/#intervale
Pre-Trip Homework
Prior to attending the training please read and understand the following documents.
- General Reservation Guidelines
- Intervale Manual
- Intervale General Info
- Intervale Reservation Request Form
- Keyholder Checklist
Please Read Carefully
- Additionally, please fill out a reservation request for one night starting this Sunday.
- In the "Any other notes, comments, questions" section at the bottom please answer the following questions.
- How many non-MITOC guests may you bring to the cabin?
- Where are fires allowed?
- When and how should you pay for your reservation?
- How should guests get from the parking lot to the cabin?
Plan
We will meet at the Intervale lot at 10am. I will send directions to everyone on Friday. It is a three hour drive to plan accordingly.
We will do some basic maintenance at the cabin and go over how to responsibly host groups at the cabin. Once we are done we will come home. The goal is to finish by mid afternoon.
If the trip fills up we will prioritize current MIT students.
