Join Sally, Hilary and Svenja on an attempt up the highest peak in the White Mountains via the Ammonoosuc Ravine Trail and Crawford Path! This route is 8 miles with ~3800" of elevation gain and 3 miles of above treeline hiking.

Due to anticipated conditions, it is imperative you have experience with the requisite gear for this trip (full face covering, goggles, insulated winter boots, thick gloves/mittens, crampons, ice axe). It will also be crucial for us to move efficiently--high physical fitness/endurance for this trip means being able to go for 30+ minutes at maximum heart rate without breaking. Having previously completed a >12 mi. 3-season hike and being able to keep a >2mph winter hiking pace are other good metrics. Plan for short, efficient food and water breaks along the trail (conditions might not allow for lengthy stops).
