Have you ever dreamed of hiking up a mountain and then SLEDDING DOWN?!?!?!

We will be hiking 2.6 miles up to Mt Field (or as close to Mt Field as we get before we get too cold!) and then sledding down. The Avalon trail from Field to Avalon and down to the AMC Highland center is sleddable almost all the way!

This trip will be inSLEDable! Keep in mind that due to the low temps and the fact that sledding means getting covered in snow, you will need full face cover and a waterproof (not just water resistant) layer on top and bottom. Also be prepared to carry a small sled on the hike up, in addition to your normal pack.
