Did you know that the White Mountains continue into Maine? We're going to hike up two peaks on the Maine side of the NH/ME border: Speckled Mountain and Blueberry Mountain, with many fine views along the way!
Route: We'll ascend via Stone House Road (0.5 mi), Stone House Trail (1.3 mi) to the summit of Blueberry Mountain (1781'), Blueberry Ridge Trail (2.2 mi), and Bickford Brook Trail (0.5 mi) to the summit of Speckled Mountain (2906'). We can return the same way, or make it a loop and descend via Bickford Brook Trail.
We're planning to stay at Intervale Saturday night to get a timely start Sunday morning.
