- Moderate to Hard Below Treeline or Above Treeline Experience. Experience with Crampons will be beneficial but not required.
On Saturday we'll be venturing above treeline to Mt. Monroe!
We'll plan to hike up the Ammonoosuc "Ammo" Ravine trail to the AMC Lake of the Clouds Hut. From there we'll assess the conditions and head to the summit of Mt. Monroe if they're favorable. The overall hike is 7.2 miles and 2900' of gain and loss. Crampons and an Ice Axe will be required.
At the summit and the Hut we'll have the option to pose if comfortable and take photos at whatever level of exposure is comfortable for you, including none!
