- Either some winter school experience -OR- if it's your first winter hike, good fitness and strong 3-season experience.
Jackson-Webster is a great hike! We'll park near the Highland Center, hike to Mount Jackson (4052 ft!), cross over to Webster, and then back down! This hike is 6.1 mi with ~2500 ft of elevation.
There will be great views of Crawford Notch! We will also freeze some Juice to make popsicles (Edible Icicles :P) for when we get back to the cars (and you finally want cold food again.)
We will practice microspikes, layering, and eating. There will also be a taste of exposed conditions, so bring your face coverings! You will get a preview of above treeline conditions without going above treeline on top of Jackson.
Expect to leave Cambridge at 5am.
