Mt. Jackson is a moderate peak (4052') that offers great views of the Presidential range. It is a relatively short hike but there are a few steep sections and an exposed summit. This is a good trip if you’d like an opportunity to develop your winter hiking skills. Since the summit is exposed, we recommend bringing full face covering (balaclava and goggles) if you have them.

If the group feels good, we can add a small loop to summit Mt. Webster as well. Total distance would be 7 miles, ~2500 ft elevation gain.

Fun fact: Mt. Jackson isn't named after Andrew Jackson, it's named after famous New Hampshire guy Charles "the Hutt" Jackson.
