Type
Hiking
Trip date
Saturday, January 24th, 2015
Difficulty rating
Medium-hard, above treeline
Prerequisites
Good physical condition, have been on a Winter School trip in the Whites before. Experience battling AT-ATs is a plus.

Are you feeling stoked to try your hand at building a snow shelter? Does the alpine wind howl through your soul? Well then come spend a night up on the shoulder of Mt. Adams, where we'll construct quinzhees fit for a king or queen!

The hike in will be 4 miles that gain 2500 feet, and that's just the warm-up for an afternoon of snow digging and cookie-eating!

We're still seeking a deejay for the Saturday night dance party. On Sunday morning we'll either sleep in or take a quick jaunt up to the top of Mt Adams (2 miles, 1500 feet, above treeline). For those who might not want to sleep in a snow shelter, we'll have tents and be right next to a lean-to.
