Come join us in the MITOC Office at 7:30 for a hands-on introduction to Caltopo. Created by an MIT grad, Caltopo is an online mapping tool that allows you to create and print custom topographic maps. Bring your computers and plan a trip.
You will learn how to:
1) Create a route using existing trail maps 2) Find the elevation 3) Discover avalanche terrain along the route 4) Print maps or upload to GaiaGPS 5) Get help and learn about more Caltopo features
This is open to any MITOC member who wants to learn how to create navigation plans, but all Winter School Leaders (hiking, climbing and skiing) and 3-Season Leaders who are unfamiliar with Caltopo are especially encouraged to come.
