Please do not sign up for this course unless you are a School of Rock, Fall 2017 advanced climber. This trip is on Saturday, Sep 23.

No longer will you have to be intimidated by the climber who casually ends every climbing grade discussion with, "Yeah but on TRAD it would be..."

Come learn how to place traditional climbing gear including spring loaded camming devices, nuts/stoppers/chocks, tri-cams, and fists at Pawtuckaway in NH. We'll plan to meet at the parking lot at 8:30, head to the crag and then split up into groups to go over basics, set up some top ropes, and start placing some gear. Parking lot located at 194 Round Pond Rd, Nottingham, NH 03290. Go over the mountain project page to familiarize yourself with the place.

Bring any personal gear that you have, but at the least you will need shoes, a harness, and a helmet. Bring plenty of water and wear clothes to be comfortable over the day.

Notes
  1. What trad gear do you have if any?
  2. Do you have a car?
  3. When someone asks you in a job interview, "Where do you see yourself in 5 years?" Do you respond confidently "In a tent at K2 base camp!" or "Living in a van down by Yosemite!"
