Please do not sign up for this course unless you are a School of Rock, Fall 2017 Intermediate climber. This trip is on Sunday, Sep 24.
[Cue smoke machine, weird neon lights, storm noises] IT IS TIME. NOW IS WHEN YOU ABANDON THE SAFETY OF THE TOP ROPE AND JOIN THOSE BOLD INDIVIDUALS ON THE SHARP END OF THE ROPE. NO LONGER WILL YOU BE CODDLED BY TINY FALLS. NOW YOU MUST WHIP!
But seriously, this is going to be super chill and bloody fun! We're going to meet up at our local sport mecca, Rumney, NH and learn the basics of how to sport climb. What's a stick clip? What are these draw things? If I go 20 feet off route to the right of my last bolt and fall, what could happen? (note: not great things).
We'll meet at the main Rumney parking lot at 8:30 am SHARP on Sunday, Sep 24, 2017. We will then do some group instruction, break up into groups, and climb shit. Well, schist. Bring any personal gear that you have, but at the least you will need shoes, a harness, and a helmet (!). Bring plenty of water and wear clothes to be comfortable over the day.

- If you haven't already, spend at least 10 min downloading and looking at the Mountain Project app and the Rumney, NH area. Start thinking about what climbs you are excited for. Don't be a sheep, have dreams and opinions! Have you done this? 2. If you were an apprentice, would you rather your mentor be: Mufasa, Darth Vadar, Gandalf, or Ruth Bader Ginsberg?
