This hike will take us towards the Northwest shoulder of Mt Washington via the steep and scrambly Chandler Brook Trail. We will be rewarded with gorgeous views, waterfalls, and a chance to experience some of the quieter, wilder parts of the White Mountains. This will be a technically challenging hike through boulder fields, across rivers, and along slippery cascades and you should also be prepared for some serious "up" action as we will have to climb 1300 feet in less than a mile. Depending on how the day unfolds we may summit Mt. Washington.
12 miles, ~4000 feet elevation gain (+Washington Summit is 15 mi, ~5000 feet elevation gain)
Required gear includes: Headlamp, whistle, compass, rain gear, and hiking boots
