We'll be running an introduction to whitewater kayaking trip this weekend in New Hampshire. If you've ever wanted to get into whitewater boating, here's your chance to learn how to read and run whitewater rivers!

This is a beginner trip, and no paddling experience is necessary, but swimming ability is a must. Having attended a rolling session is helpful, but not required.

We'll meet Friday night at 6:00 pm at the MITOC Boathouse to do gear sort and get everyone on the same page. We will then leave from the boathouse at 7:30 am on Sunday morning and head to NH, where we will first do some flat water exercises before heading to the river. Note that instructional trips at $15 and require a valid MITOC membership and active waiver.

Signups open tomorrow at noon on Wednesday, and go through 5:00 pm Thursday. Please only sign up if you can commit to both the Friday meeting and the Sunday departure; space is limited! Lastly, this trip is contingent on there being a sufficient number of drivers and vehicles to get everyone and their gear up to NH.
