Hi everyone,

Do you want to learn to whitewater kayak? Now's your chance! Join some MITOC paddle leaders this Saturday on the Pemigewasset river in New Hampshire and learn the basics of river reading and river running.

This is an introductory trip and no experience is necessary. It is important that you are comfortable in the water and know how to swim, however. I promise you will get wet :)

We will have a planning meeting on Friday night at 6pm in the MITOC boathouse (behind the MIT museum) to select gear and prepare everything for Saturday. We will reconvene at the boathouse at 7am on Saturday and we will return in evening. Please only sign up if you can commit to both the Friday meeting and the Saturday departure--space is limited!

This will be a lottery drawing for spots on the trip and I will let everyone know on Wednesday night if they made the trip. If you don't make it, don't despair! We are planing on having lots of trips this summer.

Email me if you have any questions (bodwyer651@gmail.com)

See you on the river, Bo
