Prerequisites
This is an advanced ski trip for experienced inbound skiers or those with a little or more BC experience

We plan to ski into the Gulf of Slides ravine via the Gulf of Slides trail from Pinkham Notch.

"The Gulf of Slides is an extraordinary area with the open bowl skiing and steep alpine terrain resembling Colorado more than New England!" David Goodman Best Backcountry Skiing in the NorthEast.

We plan to ski in, check the avalanche conditions which will include the digging of a snow pit! If conditions permit we will then ski within the ravine before heading back down the trail to Pinkham Notch.

However, weather and avalanche conditions may change our plans. More details to follow. One alternative is to do two shorter ski runs that are located close to our Intervale cabin called Double Head and Black Mountain.

Sign up for this trip if you are interested in an intermediate BC ski trip. We will make the best of the conditions we have.
