8.3 mi, 2600'. Sandwich Dome is just a wee bit too short to be a 4000 footer, but the awesome view from the top (I'm told) is worth the trip! We plan to ascend, eating nothing but sandwiches, and tag the summit on Saturday. The trail is a bit steep, so we'll be checking conditions and deciding crampons vs. microspikes, and there are a few offshoots we can check out if we are making good time.
