We'll be heading to Avalon on Sunday which is a fun ice climbing area with some steep ice that is only a "short" 1 mile bushwhack off the trial. This isn't necessarily a good trip if it is your first time climbing ice as we will be setting up top-ropes on some steeper climbs.
The approach takes anywhere from 1-3 hours depending on how lost you get along the way. The bushwhack is difficult and through occasionally deep snow. Avalon is known as a slightly difficult area to find - luckily I sorta know where it is so it shouldn't be too difficult to find!
Note: There is a small chance we'll switch to a slightly different area.
