Prerequisites
Prior winter hiking experience, in good shape, desire to bushwhack.

Join us for a beautiful above-treeline hike and an epic downhill return bushwhack!

We'll be hiking up Mt Lafayette (5,260') on the north end of Franconia Ridge via the Greenleaf Trail. The summit is above treeline, so hopefully we'll have some good views, and get a chance to practice above-treeline skills. We'll be returning via the Garfield Ridge trail to the top section of the Skookumchuck trail, and then bushwhacking back down the mountain to meet up again with the Greenleaf Trail.

The entire route should be around 8-9 miles, with around 3500' of elevation gain - participants should be in good shape, have prior winter hiking experience, and be excited for hacking your way downhill on snowshoes. :)

P.S. Bring your favorite candy to share! We will descend in a sugar-fueled bushwhacky rampage.
