Prerequisites
Highly recommended you own a camera other than your cell phone, preferably with manual settings that allow you to control aperture, shutter speed, etc.

Come improve your photography skills! We'll head outside to our favorite photo spots, where you can practice using your camera's manual settings, test out different systems for carrying your camera and gear while hiking, and get feedback on your shots from each other and your leaders. Not only will you get to enjoy a day full of fresh air and great views, but you'll come home with some great shots to remember it by!

Location to be determined based on weather and group interest, but be prepared for a full day of hiking and photography! Possible destinations include the Blue Hills Reservation, the Arnold Arboretum, a beach walk or the Middlesex Fells.

We'll head to a cafe/restaurant at the end of the day for a debrief and photo share. Feel free to bring along a laptop if you're interested in sharing photos with the group or getting some editing advice.

This is aimed towards people with a DSLR who want to learn more about manual settings, outdoor photography and composition. Remember we may spend a lot of time staying still to get the perfect shot, so dress in warm layers! Your leaders are looking for advice and feedback too, so bring all your best photography tricks and tips up your sleeve!
