- Experience with crampons is required. A good level of fitness able to hike 10 challenging miles.
We'll be heading up to the Whites to tackle one of the hardest presidential peaks, Mt. Jefferson!
This trip will be very difficult an is approximately 10 miles, 3800ft of gain and loss, and over 3.5 miles of above treeline travel! We'll be taking the Jewel Trail 2.3 miles to below Mt. Clay. Then we'll hike 1.6 miles to the summit of Mt. Jefferson. After summiting we'll retrace our steps back to the car.

Expect to stay at Camelot Cabin on Saturday night for an early start Sunday morning.
Prior winter experience is a must. Traction (crampons or microspikes, condition dependent) will be required.
