We'll be doing an ascent of Mt. Passaconaway, which sits at the edge of a small valley called The Bowl in the Sandwich Range of the White Mountains. Since we'll be hiking around a bowl, we'll be bringing along some bowls of noodles to cook up near the summit. Feel free to bring along your own bowl-related foods as well.
The round trip hike to the 4043' summit of Passaconaway is around 10 miles, with an elevation gain of around 2900'. We will probably hike a loop that crosses over some smaller peaks on the eastern side of The Bowl, so even if we don't reach the summit we should get some nice views
This will be good practice for using light traction (microspikes), working on our layering systems, and possibly getting some practice with snowshoes. We'll also get some practice using camp stoves when we cook up some delicious noodles!
