Start Winter School off right with an overnight! Join Kate, Ethan, and DLaw for two beautiful day hikes in the Crawford Notch area, with a civilized night in a warm cabin in between. If you want to get in double the winter fun without double the driving and trip planning, this is the trip for you.
Here's the plan:
- Saturday: Climb Mt. Tom and Mt. Field (7.2mi, 2750' elevation gain.)
- Saturday night: Get off the trail, have dinner in North Conway, and stay the night at MITOC's Intervale cabin.
- Sunday: Do another loop on the other side of Crawford Notch, hitting Mt. Jackson and Mt. Webster (6.3mi, 2300' elevation gain.) If the weather is nice, we'll walk a little farther along Webster Cliff for even more views.
The total: four summits, three 4000-footers (but who's counting), two days, one trip!
