If you’d like to become a 3-season hiking leader, submit an application and attend a safety seminar. These can be done in any order. The next seminar is in the MITOC office (W20-461) next Wednesday 10/5 at 7:00pm. It will be a 30-minute intro for new leaders. This will be the last seminar of the year.
If you have participated in two MITOC hiking events (including one circus) you may start as a co-leader, and may request an upgrade after co-leading two hikes. If you have outdoor leadership experience elsewhere and have participated in two MITOC hikes, you may be granted a full leader status on a case-by-case basis.
Dinner will be provided (probably Bertucci’s pizza).
