Now that you are familiar with tying in and belaying, it is time to apply your skills on some real rocks!! We will plan on starting early so we can grab a wall. We will set up a variety of routes. It'll be FUUUUN!!! :)

Most of the leaders will be heading up to Rumney, NH afterward. You are welcome to come hang out with us at Camelot at the Climber's retreat - if so, please sign up for that trip as well. There will be no official climbing trips on Sunday, but there are hikes and other things to do relatively nearby! There is also water bouldering in the river!!

If you stay at Camelot, note that there is electricity but no running water! There is a cabin (that gets warm), a lean-to (that sometimes gets full), and plenty of space for hammocks and tents.

  • Where: Den Rock, Andover, MA
  • When: Leaving Boston at 6AM on Saturday, 9/10/2016
  • What to bring: harness (you will need to rent or borrow one), climbing shoes (rent or borrow), ATC belay device with locking biner (If you have one), HELMET (these are different than bicycle helmets, mitoc rents them). If you cannot rent of these, please let us know and we will figure something out.

Also bring delicious snacks (you can make friends if you bring some to share!), lunch, and water (3L), sun block, bug spray, tissue/toilet paper, layers, shoes with good grip!
