No prior experience necessary!

An excellent trip for people who are not quite ready for a "medium" level hike! We will be hiking up 1700 feet to the ledgy summit of Jennings Peak, which commands impressive views to the south and east. Along the way we will practice using our layered clothing, trying out our winter hiking foods, and using crampons. Depending on weather conditions, the time, and how people are feeling we may decided to continue an additional 2.2 miles (with 500 feet elevation gain) to Sandwich Dome. Total distance 5.5 - 7.7 miles.

This is a great chance to practice layering and learn how to use traction! Also, discover whether or not your favorite food freezes!
