Hard - Join Adam, Jason, and Rob on Saturday for a brisk and lively hike up Mt. Madison. This Hard hike is 8.5 miles round trip, with ~4,000 ft of elevation gain. We'll be out and back on the Valley Way trail, hoping for gorgeous views of the Presidentials and Great Gulf Wilderness below. This above treeline hike will require crampons, ice axes, and full wind and cold protection (no skin exposed). We will practice the usual happiness triangle and keeping a good pace, with an emphasis on protecting skin and staying coordinated above treeline.
