8.9 miles, 3460', innumerable frozen waterfalls, infinite vistas, lots of cold cold wind.
Bridle Path -> Greenleaf Trail -> Franconia Ridge Trail -> Falling Water Trail
Michele and Jamie lead a moderate-hard loop with ~2 miles of above treeline exposure on the Franconia Ridge. This is a great trip to practice staying mobile, happy, and smart for treks in gorgeous exposed conditions. Turnaround time is 2pm, and we'll evaluate the weather at Greenleaf Hut before crossing the ridge. Participants should be in comfortable shape for 3000'+ ascents and comfortable using traction in snow and ice.
Get ready to cover your skin, don your goggles, and see one of the most beautiful views in the Whites (if weather permits).
Leaders are driving up Saturday morning from Boston.
