Come learn to backcountry ski!

Do you enjoy hiking, but not the part where you have to walk down hill? Do you enjoy skiing, but not standing in long lift lines? Do you wish you could ski both downhill and uphill? Do you duck ropes when ski patrol isn't looking? Do you want to ski the lines less traveled? If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, or didn't but want to try backcountry skiing and can think of your own questions to answer "yes" to, then this is the trip for you!

Come learn to backcountry ski with Dan and Ben at Mount Cardigan! We will show you how to use Alpine Touring and Telemark gear, use skins to ski uphill, and the adventure that is backcountry skiing! With a potentially big snow storm on the way, there is the possibility of experiencing some powder in New England! Mt Cardigan features a comfortable and heated AMC lodge at the base and excellent ski trails!

Please Note: this is very different from Cross Country/ Nordic Skiing, which we are NOT doing. Also, if you want to try telemark for the first time you should already be an expert downhill skier.
