Trip itinerary was changed: Trip ended up being a ~7 mile hike from the three ponds trailhead to the middle pond. We took the Donkey Hill Cut-off and the Kineo Trail back to our starting spot.
Initial trip description:
Hard - 13.6miles, ~3,300ft gain. Join Maddie and Rob on a Sunday hike up North Twin Mountain in the northern reaches of the Pemigewasset Wilderness. This hike is on the more moderate end of "Hard", but with a long approach (likely requiring show snoes) and sizeable ascent, this peak is still a challenge. We plan to hike it "For The Win," which in Winter School tradition means heavy, safe, and fun (as always, summitting is completely optional). We'll put the hiking essentials you've gained (happiness triangle, efficient layering/delayering, setting a good pace) and use them to enjoy a solid hike above 4,000 off the beaten path.
