winter or 3-season hiking experience of similar length (5h+ of hiking)

We'll be heading to Mount Morgan and Mount Percival on the Southern end of the White Mountains for a moderate 5.5 mile loop hike with approximately 1500 ft of elevation gain.

This is a great beginner-level trip for people new(-ish) to winter hiking, although the hike promises to feature some more technical sections including wooden ladders. We'll practice layering and taking efficient breaks and should be fine wearing microspikes although we might need people taking turns at the head of group wearing snowshoes to break trail, depending on conditions.
