- Participants should have experience with crampons and above treeline travel, and be in very good physical condition.
We will be making a summit attempt on Mt. Washington via the Lion's Head winter route, leaving from Pinkham Notch.
Mt. Washington is the tallest and most extreme summit in the White Mountains, at over 6000 feet, often experiencing wind speeds in excess of 100 mph.
The Lion's Head route is around 7 miles round trip with 4300ft of elevation gain.
All participants must bring crampons, an ice axe, goggles, and full face covering.
