Kinsman North is a 4000 foot peak with great views located just off 93. There's a frozen lake (Lonesome) less than half way up for bonus views of Franconia Ridge.
We'll head up from Lafayette Campground parking lot up the Lonesome Lake Trail, across the lake, and past the AMC hut to head up Fishin' Jimmy Trail. Past a second pond at an elevation of 3,800 feet and up a steeper final 0.4 mi ridge walk will take us to the summit.
Round trip distance 7.6 miles; total elevation gain is about 2600 feet.
Will leave around 5:30/6 AM and return at night.
