Some winter hiking experience and be in good shape

The goal of this trips will be to practice all the skills needed to travel above treeline!

We'll practice walking with crampons on steep terrain, full face covering, and self-arresting as we hike up Mt Chocorua via the Champney Falls trail (map). It's about 7 miles round trip and 2200ft elevation gain.

Since this is an above treeline trip full skin coverage will be required: goggles, balaclava, warm gloves, etc.
