Prerequisites
Prior winter hiking experience, good overall fitness.

Two 4000-footers for the effort of one!

Both Mount Hancock and the peak at its south (aptly called "South Hancock") are official 4000-footers according to the AMC. And since they're about a mile apart, that makes for a pretty good peak/mile ratio.

Mid to upper 30s with rain and high wind. Bring plenty of dry layers. Being wet sucks.

Total distance of 9.1 miles, elevation gain of ~2500ft.

There will be a sweet Husky on this trip, so get excited!
