2020 Winter School Leader Training

This trip is only for 2020 MITOC WS Leaders. This is mandatory for new MITOC leaders and highly encouraged for returning leaders. Returning leader input and participation during training is so valuable and makes Winter School better. Please RSVP to give us an accurate headcount. Arrive by 9:00 AM in 3-270 (MIT Building 3, room 270).

Leader Training is taking place on the MIT Campus. While the leader training has been at Camelot in years past, we are hosting the training during the day on Saturday at MIT and an open cabin at Camelot on Saturday night

At this training, WS leaders will have the opportunity to bond with other leaders, gain group management skills, get experience with MITOC leader gear, start planning trips, and learn how MITOC leaders make winter school trips successful and safe.

Lunch and snacks will be provided on Saturday. Please bring a personal water bottle and dress for being outside. WS leaders are invited to stay at the MIT cabin Camelot on Saturday night. While we are not organizing official trips on Sunday, we encourage leaders to self-organize informal adventures in the White Mountains.
