Mt. Carrigain (14 miles, 2240 ft) is a fun hike up Signal Ridge; while being entirely below tree line, there is a fire tower at the summit which gives great views of the Pemigewasset Wilderness! We will meet at the winter parking lot and hike up Sawyer Road to the trailhead. With snow in the forecast on Saturday, snowshoes are a must! Carrigain is #13 of the high peaks, and we'll get an early start. This trip will expand on basic winter hiking principles and provide a great opportunity to practice snowshoeing.
