Mount Liberty is a great hike to start the winter. The trail to the summit is 4 miles with 3200 feet of elevation gain (that's 10 green buildings). The trail is never too steep, but the climb is consistent and relentless. At the summit, the trail emerges from the trees for a great 360-degree view and a serious blast of arctic wind.
We will stay at the Camelot cabin on Friday night, departing from Boston at 7pm. This will allow us to get a good night's sleep and an early start to the hike. We will probably be off the trail by 4pm, stop for a hearty dinner in New Hampshire, and get back to Boston by 8pm.

- Notes
Saturday is forecast to be colder than average, so you will want to be sure you have mittens and a face mask in addition to your usual gloves, hat, and layers. Goggles are not necessary but are recommended if you will want to spend any time admiring the view from the summit. More information about required equipment will be provided in the pre-trip email.
